Felt rather depressed as all the hikers took off on the route and Lois hung about waiting for the local bus. The Little White Bus arrived exactly in time. I was the only passenger from Keld to Reeth. That meant the driver had me as a captive audience as he drove Fast, and Wildly on the one lane road which was all curves with stone wall fence on each side. Whenever a vehicle approached he slammed on the breaks. The driver talked constantly. He constantly turned around to make sure I was paying attention. It was like a carnival ride up and down dips, turns, swing about. I started to feel sick. It was a Wild ride. He apparently make the run from Keld to Richmond 4 times a day.
Turns out he Really works as a Psychic, as in "medium" as in fortune telling, etc. and has traveled all over the world for his "real" job as the Psychic. Thankful to get off in Reeth at the village green.
Reeth Post Office.
Inside the Post Office is the main grocery store for the village.
Cambridge House where tonight's bed is located. I had specifically requested this B&B, along with last nights Keld Lodge because I had like the hosts so much on 2013. Both of the establishments had since been purity new owners. They are nice, but not like the first round.
Cambridge House
Conservatory and entry room. I would like something like this added to the back of our house!
Little museum and garden I wandered into.
Magnum ice cream bar. Tasty on a hot day, even if I didn't earn it by walking over the mountain.
Wandered about the village of Reeth while waiting for the other walkers to arrive, and until I could check in at Cambridge House. I had taken my backpack up there and left it until the suitable time to arrive.
Met this man painting in a narrow street and talked to him, but couldn't understand anything he said. He kept repeating it only faster and drawling out the accent.
Talked with a woman in a "craft" type tourist shop. She makes Women's skirts out of men's neck ties.
Had to buy sun glasses as my eyeballs felt like they were burning.
Property for sale Gary???
Wandered about and found a back alley of artists workshops. Talked a bit with Richard Kusz an artist work builds sculpture out of found metal. He his represented in numerous galleries and works largely by commissions.
The "tree" is for a hospital in northern England.
No one had seen Jean Pierre all day
Kieran and ? Whose name is gone temporarily from this brain wearing the shirts they had made for their C2C walk.
The tiny shower - BUT - it is ALL MINE!
Dinner: Asian meatballs. Nice and spicy spicy 🌶
