Day 6 Walking Part 2

Day 6 continued

Long hard day in the sun.  Rolling hills.  Lots of miles of wide open moorland.  Many stile climbing.  Many gate open and closings.

What the toes look like wearing lambs wool.

Began having trouble with right knee mid day. By the end could hardly walk, basically limped into Kirkby Stephen.

Lovely B&B tonight.  Chapel Cottage.  My room has a "red" theme.

Difficult to walk. Very upsetting.  Not sure what the next step (haha) will be.  On Gary's suggestion I will not take any pain mess tonight and see how it feels in the morning.  Options are:  see a doctor?  Taxi to Keld and take a day off from trekking?  Two of needed.

Chris my hostess gave me ice for icing.  I walked the couple blocks to the village center to see how the leg worked.  Not great, but possibly there is hope.

Dinner, Chinese takeaway eaten on one of the two benches by the War memorial.

My hostesses husband Colin had an interesting business.
